        Recording:                Standard/Single/Super 8 (silent - add 15% for sound films)

         Tapes:                     Single VHS copy(ies)    - free

                                        Extra VHS copy(ies)     - £5.00 per tape (up to 3 extra copies - further copies
                                                                               are charged at standard KLA duplication rates)

                                        DVD copy(ies)             - £20.00 for first disc  - further copies are charged
                                                                               at standard KLA duplication rates)

                                        DV/DVCAM/S-VHS   - £11.00 per Mini DV/CAM/S-VHS, £25.00 per
                                                                               full-size DV/CAM (for 1 copy - further copies
                                                                               are charged at standard KLA duplication rates)

        Joining reels:             * to reduce overall charges KLA will join together three or more Standard or
                                         Super 8 50' reels onto 200' or 400' reels at £5.00 per original 50' reel  

        Splicing:                    Any agreed re-splicing at £5.00 per splice

 

        Cleaning:                   Included in above charges (all films are cleaned prior to telecine)/minor repairs

        Restoration:              Major re-splicing, damage repair etc. - by negotiation

        Delivery:                   Standard post/packaging (minimum £1.50) or agreed courier charge

        Formats:                   From   - Standard 8 (mag. sound), Single/Super 8 (mag. or opt. sound),
                 16mm (mag. or opt. sound)

                                        To       - VHS, S-VHS, DVD, DV and/or DVCAM

        Recording:                Picture - JVC GY-HD101 3-chip camera with hard disk drive and synchro-scan
                 shutter for flicker-free results at sound or silent projection speeds

                                        Sound  - Hi-fi & Linear (Normal) on VHS/S-VHS, PCM Digital on DV

 

        Timecode:                VITC (VHS and S-VHS), DV

 

        Supervision:              Telecine operations are supervised at all times

Conditions

 

       Timescale:                Copies are normally produced within 10 working days of delivery of material to KLA except
   for orders over 5000 feet where delivery time is by negotiation

       Payment:                  On collection - cash or cheque are accepted, the latter with Banker's card only. Please note
   that we have a minimum charge of £40.00.

 

       Film Condition:          Films are accepted for transfer to video on the basis that they are fit for projection. KLA
   undertakes minor re-splicing and/or repair as part of its service but where major restoration
   is required for any given film or films, making up all or part of a customer's order, KLA will
   advise the client and propose a restoration fee. Where such a fee cannot be negotiated KLA
   will telecine only those films (if any) that are fit for projection and charge for that service only.

 

       Liabilities:                All reasonable care is taken of customers` material but in the event of damage KLA's liability
  is limited to the replacement cost of unexposed film or blank tape material.
